Our existence in the material world in-der-Welt-sein implies being in a direct interrelation with the space surrounding us. Through our presence space is changing and, simultaneously, something is changing us.
We expel space by inhabiting it. Inhabiting means, to expose space to continuous changes.
By configuring space, parts of the world open up, and hence, those who create open up to themselves.
This installation intends to reflect about residential living, inside and outside spaces. In this project, the residents were invited to hand in different kinds of soil extracted from their living areas and to fill it into prepared glasses as a part of the research. Through collecting divergent ?parts? of the regions ground and having it on one table, it was possible to study and find out particular features, differences and commonalities.
