CULTURE SCOPES BERLIN – from contemporary art institutions, art spaces, initiatives and networks towards activist movements
ONE DAY SEMINAR, WORKSHOP & EXCURSION TO INDEPENDENT ART SPACES WITH ARTISTS & CULTURAL MANAGERS IN THE FRAME OF Goethe-Instituts MIDDLE EAST/ NORTH AFRICA TRAINING PROGRAM
Berlins polycentric cultural landscape offers many layers of cultural and artistic impact. Far away from the countless common art exhibitions in galleries and museums, we find a rich diversity of formats transmitting current art movements, discourse, artistic research, knowledge transfer, institutional critique and art activism.
We will investigate these conditions by having a closer look at art spaces, initiatives and art-networks, as well as their constitutions, modes of operation, financing and collaborative interactions. Our engaged discussion and group work will highlight beneficial and problematic points, set practical links to your work as cultural managers and work places and find out ideas and strategies for building up networks within your cultural and art communities.
On the pictures you can see our workshop on inventing structures for possible networks

quests the „space“
ERÖFFNUNG:
12 October 2013, 18:30 Uhr
LOCATION:
PASAJ Independent Art Space | Banker street, Galata | Istanbul
Tatjana Fell, quests the „space“, in the new space of PASAJ.
| | | GROUND SEARCH – from relational space to space relations
PASAJ, as a continuation of PASAJist will host its first event of the season, except Sheila Pepe?s work, ?F7 Mola Yeri? during Istanbul Art International. To talk about Tatjana Fell?s work of art and to get together after a long break, we wait all of you in our new space of action.
With GROUND SEARCH ? from relational space to space relations, Berlin based installation artist Tatjana Fell quests the constitution and appearance of space as well as concepts of general positioning. Her art work as well as her network projects magnify transformative systems, systematics and situations, overlaps, fringes, borderlines and their correlations with individual and political action.
Instead of extraction, division and singularity she investigates the values of intertwinings and cooperation during her long term exploration. PASAJ invited travelling artist Tatjana Fell to open up her recent projects and research fields for a presentation and discussion.
